Each Solar Slate from the Traditional range measures 500mm x 256mm x 6mm and weighs 1.8Kg, just like a conventional roofing slate.
Within each slate, the area that generates electricity is around 35% of the total area (measuring approximately 170mm x 250mm). This means that, when installed into a roof with the advised batten pitch of 200mm–205mm, the cells are not overlapped.
A 6.5Wp per slate means that the output per m² is 130Watt peak. This is similar to any standard solar panel and more than other in-roof solutions on the market.
Our PV cells are mono-crystalline, back connected. The cell efficiency is 22.4% and therefore the best on the world market.
